Old Vehicles

back to photoblog index

Study the history of family and place in the U.S. over the last seven or eight decades and vehicles--cars, trucks and machinery--play a prominent role. Now, some of these old vehicles that escaped the dump or recycler can be found in museums, gullies, woods, rivers and other unexpected places. Some still have their paint, some don't. Some are parked with interpretative signs, some have trees growing up through them. All are a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of our people and society.
